Am I Eligible?

New Build HomeBuy is open to most buyers however certain eligibility criteria may apply depending on the development. Buyers may also be Council and Registered Social Landlord tenants and should be registered with a Homebuy Agent. Even if you live with family or friends, or, are renting privately you may still apply.

In fact, you may have owned a property before and you may apply; consideration will be given if you are having to relocate because of your employment, you might be an existing New Build Homebuy tenant needing to move, or even, having to move home because your previous relationship has broken down.  

Up to four people can buy a property together; however, each applicant must be eligible and live in the property.

You can complete our on-line application if there are no more than two people buying together, alternative, you can download and print off the Genesishomes application and fax it to us on 0845 527 5107.

In order to qualify you must be able to demonstrate that you do not have the means to buy a property out right on the open market and:

•    You must have been employed permanently in your current job for at least six months, or, if you are self-employed you must be able to provide at least two years audited account.

•    You must not have an outstanding County Court Judgement, or, be in rent or loan arrears.

•    You must be either a UK resident, or, have the right to remain in the UK.

•    You must meet the financial requirements.

•    You must have sufficient savings to cover your legal fees, moving costs and deposit if required.

•    Any mortgage arrangements will have to be approved.
